Last night we all sat on the deck until midnight. It was just too hot to sleep. The little cow kitten from next door was out and came up on the deck and sat with us. Kali and I hissed and growled at him….just our way of saying, “We don’t want you around here.” He hissed and growled back, just his way of saying, “I don’t care…..I’m stayin for a visit.” and we all sat around staring at each other. Well, to be truthful, mom wasn’t staring at us…..she was laughing. She thought this was funny because all we did was sound off and nobody lifted a paw. No pictures of us quarreling but one you’ll love just the same.. Remember these times?

Hi there my friends. So nice to see you. Your town probably isn’t geared for snow and it would be a shock. We are not into hot, hot….same as you two aren’t. Warm is nice…hot hot is too much. Do you know I let mom cool me down by sliding a cold and very wet facecloth across my bod. It cooled me right down.

It’s not as nice when its this hot. No walking, I’m not really hungry…even treats don’t tempt me. Hope it stays about 24C….now that’s a great temp….mom gets out and weeds….she’s fun to play smacky paw with when she’s trying to do somethin’. Smacky paw and then run as fast as I can away from her…..MOL

We were in my back yard yesterday till 3 am… it was tooooooo hot too… and we had a visitor too… a scary bat what howl-i-coptered around my mommas head. she screamed like a banshee… at 3 am in the morning… scandalous!

Woah. A bat? I’d scream like a banshee and a ban(he) too! There’s nothing like waking the neighbours at 3am after it took them hours to get to sleep….your mom must be very popular with the neighbours. hehe I’ll bet no cows visited. I should try screaming when the cow kitty shows up on our deck. He’d think we were nuts but who cares….if its good enough for your mom its good enough for us.

Yep, the main thing is Batman is gone…hopefully he won’t bring his friend Robin next time. They could gang up on your mom. Robin could sing a scary song and Batman could, well, ….just be! MOL

Pawsome picture! Good that the intruder isn’t in the picture, or did you make a furrball out of him? We had kind of Winter last week, Kali and Shoko. The temperature increased from 40 degrees in the garden to 17 degrees, with every season in one week, except of snow… Now it is rising again, so I can’t send you my Cool Pawkisses for your Cool picture, but I can make them a little wet 😀 Wet Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend 🙂 ❤

Boy did the temperature ever drop at your place! We could use that about now. It is cooler today. I’m going to patrol the Lane today. It was too hot before. There were just grasshoppers in the Lane. The city is letting us sprinkle again. That was a tough one for mom cause everything had to be hand watered.

Kali’s attire today is priceless, especially considering the snowy backdrop. Sounds like how we would behave when our neighbor cat Sparky came to visit, which was all the time. Yes, Kali can be very inappropriate at times but that’s my sis. I’m so happy to know other kitties would feel the same way. Peeps make it sound like I’m weird not to like this cute kitten. They have no idea that this is our house and if he visits, he must tow our line.

we have never had central air….just central heat. I like heat….Shoko has never laid on a heating vent.
That little dude next door sure is hard to figure but he’s not here today so we can relax.

Shoko’s never laid on a heatin’ vent? OMC Even meez dun dat. Weez have centwal heat too, so me dusn’t anymore, but more offen than not mommy uses da space heaters fur heat stead of da centwal one. As fur centwal air, in our pawrt of da kuntwy swamp cooler don’t work, yous have to have centwal air, so everypawdy has it no matter how poor or rich. Lessen they be homeless or awe skwattin’. Even da DHS helps peeps in da summer to get a/c’s ifin they don’t have ’em.

No, I never have laid on a heating vent or plunged myself in front of the space heater. I am warm enough as is.
I imagine it would be the same up here but instead of A/C it is heat.

CW, a video would have been a great idea. Of course, mom doesn’t know how to do that one. C’mon mom we can learn. It was a pretty late encounter…I can see mom taking pictures of her feet and the plastic tables, all the while thinking this was hilarious. Is your mom that weird?
