Sunday Selfies……the last for 2018

Howdy folks,                                                                 Here we are at the end of 2018.  It’s been a year of many changes for me.  Kali, my best friend, left for the Rainbow Bridge in February.  We were all crushed and so unhappy for months.  I no longer had my friend to give a bad time or laugh with over the silly things mom does.  In May mom brought a rat home to live with us.                                                    

Man, did she stink!  P. U.  Furthermore she couldn’t do anything fun.  She was too small and couldn’t even run that far without crashing and falling asleep.                                                             

She was so proud of herself for climbing the cat pole.  A simple task for me.

I sat her down and explained how she should act towards me, “You only have to bow once, Tyebe.”                                                                       

“Oh, there’s a fly! Whatever, Shoko….talk later.” She just didn’t understand the respect I deserved. What a ding dong.

In August, this strange lookin’ furry guy was fascinated with Fort Meezer.  He would sit on the mattress under the bench and watch Tyebe playing.  Some might even say a dirty ole man but he turned out to want the best for Tyebe and would alert mom if Tyebe was straying.                                                                

In September he started coming in the house for some supper.  Finally, he moved in and never looked back.

So my home environment has drastically changed. I am slowly getting used to the changes. These two have no respect for their elders but I’ll pound it into them.

Friendly Fill-Ins with Kali

Hi friends, Kali here to introduce the Friendly Fill-ins and my fills for this week.

Ellen of 15 and Meowing and McGuffy’s Reader are hosting this weeks Friendly Fill Ins.
1. I am most proud of …… my temperament.  I like everybody, peeps and kitties.  Layed back and relaxed is my style.  If I get angry, hiss and run after a kitty, you know this kitty is a total jerk and needs some smacky paw.  Visitors are always welcome as far as I’m concerned.                                                                     
2. I am embarrassed to admit…..I am afraid of bugs.  Just the idea of putting a squirmy or slimy bug in my mouth is disgusting.  Ewww…  However I like to watch them as long as they don’t touch the furs.                                                                         

3. My super-power might be….. power sleeping.  Mom says there is no other cat around that can sleep on demand like me.                                                           

4. I really wish I could…….  fly.  I would fly down and visit Nellie and then fly down to the States and visit Buddy…my boyfriend.

Friendly Fill-Ins With Shoko

Did you know that Phoebe’s blog, 15 and Meowing and McGuffy’s Reader host the Friendly Fill Ins Kali?  Of course I do Shoks.  They have been doing this for 10 weeks now.                                                                                Last week you did the fill-in’s so this week is my turn Kali.  Make me proud, Shoko.                                                                              1. I prefer the new Chicken and Cheese Fancy Feast to the Salmon Primavera   flavoured Fancy Feast. 

 2. Staying away from the fresh catnip was much harder than I expected.

3. One way that I relax is to lay under a bush in the garden. 

  4. Feeling the sun on my furs always makes me happy.

Sunday Selfie With Kali

It’s time for planting our vegetable garden this week so if we have neglected to post very often, this is why.  Victoria Day weekend is the traditional planting weekend of us northern gardeners.  Is the 24th of May long weekend the time the south plants too?  Shoko is out helping mom whether she wants any help or not.  Mom has transplanted 4 sweet peppers into beds in the greenhouse.  Dad is tearing up the sun deck to get rid of grass growing through the 2 by 4’s.  He put more landscaping fabric under the deck.  Everyone seems busy with their own chores.  Even Shoko is examining flowers for any sign of bugs.                                                             Me?  What am I doing today?  Well, I don’t like insects anywhere near me so I’m inside getting ready to take my Sunday Selfie.  The Cat on My Head is the bloghost for this lovely event every week.  Just click on the bloghost name and you’ll see the most beautiful anipals in the world.                                                                    I’m so proud of myself, I can press the remote selfie button and clean my face at the same time.                                                                Have a great day and avoid insects at all costs.

Shoko’s 7th Gotcha Day Pawty

What a great sleep I had Kali.  My word, I slept so hard…it must’ve been all the fun at Cat Scouts yesterday.  I wrapped myself in the Canadian Flag.  MOL

Shoko reached the level of Sabertooth Tiger in Cat Scouts Saturday.  This is the highest level a kitty can reach in Cat Scouts….we are so proud.

Gotcha Cake

Remember last year mom…..you didn’t know how to make a Gotcha Cake then….MOL… Move on Shoko….let’s not tell everybody that I am still learning and sometimes get terrifyingly mixed up…shhh. Alright mom! Geesh.

Easy barked out his food order to Sammy but he barked in French and nobody understood him! So Sammy gave him one of everything and Easy sat down and ate all of it.
